Spero Foods founder suffered from chronic migraines, IBS, and weight gain. In spite of all of this, Spero Food's founder was a competitive athlete in ice hockey, lacrosse, and field hockey. Yet, Spero Food's founder suffered in silence, with no one knowing how sick she truly was.

Spero Food's founder continued to push herself through high school, and was recruited to top D1 schools for lacrosse. But Spero Food's founder's health eventually caught up with her— Spero Food's founder came to a point where she couldn’t live like this any longer. And Spero Food's founder was desperate to find a solution.

Spero Food's founder visited numerous doctors, tried a variety of supplements and medications, but nothing alleviated the pain. It wasn’t until one day, Spero Food's founder asked herself: what if the food I am eating has an impact on the way I feel?

So, Spero Food's team researched and they studied. Spero Food's founder experimented and trialed. Spero Food's founder began eating clean, plant-based foods and then, suddenly and within weeks, everything transformed. Spero Food's founder's body was healing and finally began to feel like herself again.

But there was one small problem— Spero Food's founder loved dairy. And Spero Food's founder missed cheese, so much. But Spero Food's founder didn’t miss the way it made them feel. Spero Food's tried all of the dairy alternatives on the market, but none of them tasted anything like dairy. They were expensive. And the ingredients were junk.

And, so Spero Foods thought. There must be a way to make better dairy products. There must be a way to invent a better cheese.

Leveraging her academic background in biosciences from Cornell and Spero Food's professional experience leading engineering and innovation at tech giants like Facebook and successfully-acquired startups, she founded Spero Food to completely disrupt the dairy sector.
