Manually Adding the App, API Key, Password and Location ID

Overview

This connection will go over how to install and setup the app manually.

If you want to Integrate Shopify and import products, Farm2Me will require you to set up a custom app on your Shopify store.

To create a custom app:

• Click Settings in the bottom left corner of the screen
• Select Apps
• Click Develop Apps for Your Store

 

 

Once on the Custom Apps page, you'll need to click the Build apps in Dev Dashboard button and top right you'll see the button Create app name the new app "Farm2Me", and press the Create button.

The next screen after the app is created will show a box below the App Name: Farm2Me called "URLs", you'll look for the "App URL" field.

Also, uncheck the "Embed app in Shopify admin" check mark (leave blank).

To find this App URL, open a new browser tab and log into your  Farm2Me Portal https://farm2.me/seller, once logged in on the left hand side menu click Products to expand the Products drop-down, and choose the 2nd option "Add Products via Shopify".  Scroll down to the bottom of this page to find the "App URL".  Paste in the Shopify Dev tab "App URL" field.

 

The second URL we'll look for is the "Redirect URL".  Scroll down to the bottom of that Shopify Dev page and look for the "Redirect URL" section and "Redirect URL" field.

To find this Redirect URL, go back to your Farm2Me Portal Tab, scroll down to the bottom, and look for "Other URL".  Copy that "Other URL" and paste it in the "Redirect URL" field on the Shopify tab.  Whats unique about this "Redirect URL" field is that you also need to add the "App URL".  But you do that by pasting the "Other URL", then space, then "," (comma), then space, and then the "App URL". (see YouTube video tutorial at the top of this page if you are confused).  

It looks something like this: Other URL , App URL

 

Last you need to setup the Scopes. Go back to your Shopify Dev tab, scroll to the middle of the page and look for the "Scopes" section, and "Scopes Field".  You can either copy and the past the following Scopes code (see below) or enter the scopes manually one by one, by choosing the "Select Scopes" button/text link.

Option 1: Copy and paste code:

write_assigned_fulfillment_orders,read_assigned_fulfillment_orders,read_fulfillments, write_fulfillments,read_inventory, write_inventory,read_locations,read_orders, write_orders,read_products, write_products,read_markets_home

Option 2: Manually selecting scopes, click "Select Scopes" (top right) in the "Scopes" section, and search for the following terms in the search bar (or scroll):

• "Assigned fulfilment orders" set to "Read and write"
• "Fulfilment services" set to "Read and write" 
• "Inventory" set to "Read and write" 
• "Locations" set to "Read"
• "Order Editing" set to "Read and write"
• "Orders" set to "Read and write"
• "Products" set to "Read and write"
• "Product Listings" set to "Read and write"
• "Markets" set to "Read"

 

 

Click "done" or "save".

By granting this access, Farm2Me will use it as follows:

• Get Inventory [Primary]: read_locations, read_products, read_inventory
• Send FRs/FOs: write_orders, write_draft_orders (if sending draft orders), read_customers, write_customers
• Get Shipments: read_orders, read_fulfillments

 

Final step, click the "Release" button on the bottom right of the page by scrolling down to bottom of page.

Once "Release" is clicked a pop-up screen shows up, asking you to name the App version again - you can call it "Farm2Me" so you remember in the future.

Click "Release" button on this popup.

 

After this is you will have the API Key and Secret Key for the Farm2Me Portal's Shopify Integration.  To find this, stay on this Shopify Dev page and on the left hand side click Settings.

 

Copy the "Client ID" on the Shopify Dev Settings page and open the Farm2Me Portal Tab to paste it into the "API Key" field

Copy the "Secret" on the Shopify Dev Settings page and open the Farm2Me Portal Tab to paste it into the "Secret Key" field

 

 

Last fill in your Shopify MyShopify URL website domain (e.g. "xxxxxxxxx.myshopify.com").  If you don't know how to find that, watch the YouTube video at the top of this page  (its in the first  0-2 minutes) or go to your regular Shopify website backend (not the Dev page), open "Settings" on the bottom-left of Shopify, and look for "Domains" half way through the Settings Menu Popup.  The Myshopify URL will be on that Domains page (e.g. "xxxxxxxxx.myshopify.com").

 

After the My Shopify URL, API Key, and Secret Key, are added to the Farm2Me Products "Add Products via Shopify" page , scroll to the bottom of that Farm2Me page and click Save & Install button.

This will redirect you back to your Shopify Dev page automatically to "Install App" (top right of Shopify Dev App home page).

After completing the above, go back to the Farm2me Portal tab -- you can now start importing your products by clicking the "Import Products" button, on the top right of the "Add Products via Shopify" page (only appears after you save API credentials correctly).  See screenshot below:

After clicking on the "Import Products" button, you can choose to import products by Date Range, SKU, or Product ID, and your products will automatically sync from your Shopify to your Farm2Me store.

(Choose: by Date Range)

Method 1: Choose a Date Range (date that the products were created, so if you have older original products, make sure you select an early date start)

Products imported from Shopify will show up in your Farm2Me Products tab, where you can "Edit Products"

On Farm2Me Portal, go to left hand column, choose Products >> Edit Products (you will see all your products here).

Thats it! You are now good to go

 

Edit your products Titles and Wholesale Pricing

• Title - include Wholesale Quantities (e.g. Hazelnut Chocolate, Organic Bars - 12 bars x 4oz)
• Product Description (start with "Brand Name's Product Name", and never use "our" or their", repeat the "Brand Name's Product Name" 10x per Description)  **This is the correct way to list products on Google for Google SEO ranking**

• Price - wholesale price of case (e.g. 12 bars): $50
• Compare at Price (MSRP): $100
• Update your Meta Title (duplicate Title above)
• Meta Description (same as Product Description)
• URL structure (eg. "/brand-name-product-name"). **This is the correct way to list products on Google for Google SEO ranking**
