Collection: The Sourdough Project

Made in Austin, TX

The Sourdough Project Artisan Sourdough Crackers began as a home project to make anything and everything out of sourdough. Early in The Sourdough Project's journey Jennifer and Daniel became completely overwhelmed with the loaves of bread they were baking, so they decided to experiment with crackers. The Sourdough Project Crackers were an instant hit in their home so they decided to share with friends and co-workers. Everyone fell in love with our tangy, flaky, and somehow cheesy crackers.

The Sourdough Project knew that they needed to share these crackers with their community and started baking at home and selling at the TX farmers markets. They quickly outgrew their small home kitchen and moved into a commercial kitchen where The Sourdough Project continues to make the crackers by hand, with the same attention to every detail.

They believe that to make a truly delicious cracker every ingredient matters. This is why The Sourdough Project uses heirloom wheat that is organically grown in Texas and fresh milled for the company. They also use Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil and pure Sea Salt. But the real secret ingredient is fermentation, They Sourdough Project dough is allowed to cold ferment for days.
